After 30 years designing and leading residential developments as principal architect, Derek Murphy established MAP Consultancy in 2026 to provide a set of bespoke design, master planning and architecture advisory services. We are housing experts, providing strategic design and development solutions at the early critical planning and statutory approval stages.

We are design led but pragmatic with a strong understanding of market conditions and the various strands of the housing eco system. We combine practicality with a unique design sensibility to seek out the most appropriate and optimum development solutions for our clients. Through our 3D master planning services, we seek to provide sustainable, people focused communities with an emphasis on public realm and placemaking.

Our knowledge and expertise cover all scales and all types of housing models. Regardless of scale, we apply the same care, skill and close attention to design, detail and service on all projects.

Who We Are

MAP is an architectural design consultancy, with a focus on the early design and planning stages. We combine, Agent AI tools and 3D digital modelling with the creative design process when Making Architecture and Places.

We are interested in the blending of Art, Science and Technology which is synonymous with the practice of map making and the art of Cartography.

At MAP Consultancy, we borrow on this tradition by MAPPING Data, 3D Digital Architecture and 3D Spatial Planning Proposals. In essence, we layer and blend geographic data, site and land use analysis with design proposals to create spatial information and compelling 3D visual representations.
